The current unemployment rate is staggaring. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the number of unemployed persons rose by 592,000 to 9.4 million in August 2008.

With this hard data statistic, you need every edge that you can find in the job market. NUresume.com located in Pleasanton, California just may be that edge that is needed.

The first thing that comes to mind when you see the site, is the YouTube“ish” feeling it has. The site is very interactive. NUresume is the first global Student Resume Network for students to create an online resume portfolio page to market themselves as well as find projects and internships.

As many of you know, we receive numerous company submissions on a daily basis. This is something that I have spoken about previously. Every once is a while, I review a site and say to myself “that’s really cool.”

Well, today is one of those days. Part of my attraction to this site is my general love for video games and I love it when a website can come to life. In this case its Vivaty.com that “brings life.”

Vivaty Scenes is a web based virtual community where users can personalize their own virtual scene and avatar and socialize with their friends.

The freedom of writing is pure expression. It allows us to open our minds and share with the world. Hopefully, the people that are reading your composition(s) do enjoy the labor that can go into a story or a piece.

With that in mind, many writers/bloggers/content providers might take interest in Bukisa.com, as they provide a platform to earn money for contributions to their site.

Bukisa is an online platform that allows creators to contribute their knowledge (in the form of articles, videos, slides, pod-casts & more) while earning money when this knowledge is viewed.

We all know about how terrible the overall real estate market is. Foreclosures are at a level that we could not imagine considering we were in a boom just a few short years ago.

Redfin.com based out of Seattle is doing something that caught my eye “Our agents are paid customer satisfaction bonuses, not a percentage of the sale, so you get advice you can trust. At closing, we refund two-thirds of our commission to you, which on average is around $10,000. We offer a similar service for sellers.”

Myfirstpaycheck.com is a quick story I felt compelled to write. Primarily because it is created by siblings ages 17 & 23. I love the entrepreneurial spirit that they posses.

Myfirstpaycheck.com is a job-board for teenagers that provides advice and resources, including an interactive resume builder, to help young people have a more successful job application process.

STDsolve.com is a WebMD for sexually transmitted diseases with a Visual Symptom Checker.
