There are several websites that allow you to vent about various things such as restaurants, hotels, movies, cars etc. Now comes a site that allows parents and children to vent about their teachers.
Teachercomplaints.com is geared towards parents and students. It provides them with a forum to compare and complain about teachers, homework, discipline and classroom behavior. The site was founded in the spring of 2009. It has already caught the attention of numerous news reporters, including Mike Wendland of NBC who featured it on numerous NBC and Fox Stations across the United States.
The site opines that abuse by educators is a volatile, sensitive subject that’s been whispered about in school hallways and behind closed office doors as long as there have been schools. But a lack of public acknowledgment has helped the problem to spread and the bad teachers to circulate. While I am not sure that we have a pandemic of bad educators, I certainly agree that bad teachers can and do create damage.
