I am attempting to add fonts through adobe and am receiving this error (see image). I have a single subscription to InDesign and my account is active. Hello, you probably remembered me from r/identifythisfont. I recommend don’t go to a “free font-downloading website” (except Google Fonts) and simply download the font for free as you can risk accidentally downloading a virus onto your system. You can also try other alternative fonts on Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts instead.

Apple Symbols only comes in Regular. Try a different font. With your CC subscription, you have access to Adobe entire font library at fonts.adobe.com. And you are in the Properties panel, intended for new users. Open Window > Character to see the faux bold and faux italics options like before. (I don’t recommend them, but they will be available.).

Are you using the Adobe Creative Cloud? If so, all the fonts included in the Adobe Fonts part of the subscription are 100% cleared for commercial work. Similarly, all fonts available via Google Fonts are open-source and free to use for commercial purposes.

What program are you using to design? Adobe Illustrator? If so, you can use fonts.adobe.com that is included with their subscription. There’s also fonts.google.com for free fonts. All the fonts on both websites are cleared for commercial use.

If you stick an image sample of SF Pro into Adobe Fonts or WhatTheFont, they’ll both give you a list of similar looking fonts.

Did you try activating the font at fonts.adobe.com instead? You will have to sign in there with your Adobe ID.

Are some of these Adobe fonts? It’s very easy to go to fonts.adobe.com and deactivate the ones you don’t need to use today. I think it’s safe to say that none of us need 2500 fonts installed every single day.

I don’t see any way to browse Adobe Fonts inside of the Creative Cloud app?? It only shows the fonts I currently have activated, and then there’s a “Browse more fonts” link that opens fonts.adobe.com in my browser.

Use your Adobe account and download them? You can click the link in your Creative Cloud app (under the Web tab) or here is a direct link: https://fonts.adobe.com. The word ‘showreel’ looks like it’s Phonk. You can use a tool like ‘What the font’ to determine the others.

If I can give you some advice, also try other fonts and also other images, the image you have chosen has that light which I guess is the sun in the trees, but for a while it looked like a strange halo or flare to me, which might look strange to people looking at it, I also recommend you to try other fonts which you can find on many platforms including one ”Adobe Fonts”, maybe some fonts that are more balanced…

If you have a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud you should also have access to Adobe fonts which lets you use (turn on) fonts that can be used with other Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).

If you have an Adobe subscription (which I assume you do since you’re using Photoshop) you can go to fonts.adobe.com and look through the fonts on there, loads to choose from! You just click the little “activate font” toggle and the font will show up in your Adobe programs.

My solution is usually to reboot the PC. But then that’s my go-to fix with any PC related issues, and it almost always works. If it doesn’t, I go to fonts.adobe.com and deactivate the fonts and then reactivate them again, and then wait for the taskbar notification that those fonts have been activated. In extreme cases I disable and re-enable them using the Adobe CC Desktop app, but the UI is so poorly implemented…
