    • Anything Better Than Apollo.io?

Their data seems pretty good and their features are awesome, but they had a couple of glitches this week that are annoying me. I know they seem to be the best, but has anyone bested them yet? Curious if there’s anything out there that’s better than Apollo.io.

    • Where do you guys find leads for your business?

I use apollo.io which comes with a very complete database with all sorts of filters to really carve out the lists that you want. But because we target startups right now, I go on crunchbase pro and download the leads there because they are often more startupy especially in the US. Apollo becomes the complete tool because from there you can execute the outreach.

Ironically, I did not cold call hiring managers. This was a … silly mistake on my part. I ended up talking with someone (AE intro to hiring manager) who closed a job in 16 DAYS by cold calling and using apollo.io. There’s more context to this and I’ll break this down in a future post but shame on me for not doing this.
