Take a semi-decent photo of yourself and (either you or someone you know who knows how) run it through something like Midjourney or another Generative AI platform and have them make some slight changes. Or run an image of yourself that you have through an online platform like befunky.com and run an artistic filter on it, making it either illustrative or more abstract.

I use picmonkey.com and befunky.com to create an artistic effect from the original photo that I took with my Canon Powershot camera. I call it digital photoart.

I did a quick google search and found befunky.com – never used them before so I’m not endorsing them or anything. But if you use their photo editor, go into the effects tab and then go to cinematic, the first option under cinematic is ‘film grain’. Thats what you are looking for.

When making a 3×3 it’s nice to be creative and personal with them rather than just using the low resolution covers on MAL. It’s also best to use befunky.com to actually get good image resolution so that someone can zoom in on each picture. In regards to my comment about this person just getting into…

I used a site called befunky.com for that specific pic, I stumbled upon it after having fun on toonme.com which a friend had introduced me too. I wanted something better though since toonme only applies to your face, and tends to have issues if you wear ANY sort of headwear. So since befunky can apply effects to the full photo highly accurately, it’s quite reliable and user friendly for anyone who doesn’t have…
