I shelled out $10 for BoxySVG a couple of years ago on Mac and it’s been a solid little tool. https://boxy-svg.com/.

There is also Boxy SVG (https://boxy-svg.com) which combines both designer and developer oriented functionality and uses SVG as its native file format. Unlike Illustrator/Sketch/Inkscape it can also create and manipulate SVG animation elements (https://boxy-svg.com/blog/21) – a very powerful feature which is now supported by all major browsers.

What I did for my instance (aipub.social) was I took the original logo file from github (https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/tree/main/app/javascript/images) which is “logo-symbol-wordmark.svg” and pasted the SVG url into this online SVG editor, https://boxy-svg.com/ that allowed me to edit the existing one to my liking, in my case I just wanted to change “Mastodon” to “AIpub”. This keeps it the same file…

Thanks!! Agree 100% re the edges. I’ve actually tried that and failed to make it look nice. I’m very new to this and I only have Inkscape & BoxySVG, since I use a Chromebook which doesn’t work with Illustrator. I’ll keep trying, though, as I fully agree with the concept.

We suggest that you create a diagram or map with a vector-based drawing program. A popular open source option is Inkscape, and proprietary options are Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Boxy SVG, Canvas X. It is also possible to draw with the vector drawing tools in a office program, like Excel, PowerPoint, LibreOffice or OpenOffice, which all save vector elements very similar to r/SVG file format and can…

If you have a computer that can run a graphics program, you could do digital art and comissions. There are a number of free programs out there – Photopea is free but online only, Medibang works on Windows/Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android and appears to be free across all platforms. There’s also GIMP which is more of an image editor than an art program, and Inkscape and Boxy SVG which do vector graphics, though the…

Hello all, I am currently in the process of adding some skins to one of my paintjobs and I constantly run into the same problem. Every time I make a new skin in my preferred image editor (boxy-svg.com) I have to export the skin in .png and go to some sketchy converting website where I have to upload, convert and download the skin. There should be an easier way to do this. Does anyone know a program where I can…

You can download them as SVG files of PNG images. I used to download them as PNG and then edit them on Paint 3D. But, sometimes, you find a coat of arms were, for example, you want a supporter that is behinf the shield or partially-blocked by another element. I found out that you can take them entirely by editing the SVG file. So, for example, I would take an SVG coat of arms of the Austrian Empire (here), open it…

If you’re wondering how I drew that, Boxy Svg is the best svg editor I’ve found so far. It’s super easy to use, runs offline if you download the app, and lets you do so much more!

Another good thing about SVGs is you can customize each point reference to make a shape! You can check out Boxy SVG and try to play around with SVG shapes and designs!

Https://boxy-svg.com – vector graphics editor similar to Inkscape and Adobe Illustrator. Both client- and server-side code is written with vanilla JavaScript. Since I’m targeting only Electron and modern Chromium-based browsers I can use latest web technologies without any transpilers or preprocessors. Third-party services: – Firebase (database, storage, hosting, cloud functions) – Paddle (payments, taxes) -…
