    • anyone else refresh r/new on this sub 50 times a day everyday for the past 5+ years

Some music genres can help during study. For me, it was breakcore since it’s basically the same drum roll on repeat for the whole song. Another choice is the app brain.fm. It costs money though.

Not ADHD, but I’ve found brain.fm works for me. Try pomodoro technique – 25 minutes of work, 5 minutes of break, after doing this four times, take a longer break (15-30 minutes).

    • I get nothing done

Have you ever tried focusmate, where you co-work on mute with another person who’s focusing for a certain time frame? Doing that and having the accountability and time limit switches my brain on to do tasks I would NEVER naturally do on my own. I find that coupling that with deep work from the brain.fm app makes such a difference too.

    • After poring over garbage Google results and documentation that didn’t answer my question for literally an hour, Bing checked the SOURCE CODE and gave me an instant answer. Remind me, why would I ever want to use Google again?

This is great, unfortunately I just asked bing for an AI service that generates a never-ending focus music playlist and it was unable to answer my question adequately. It suggested three music-making type applications. The same query on google returned brain.fm as the first result, which is exactly what I was looking for. Sometimes I wonder if it’s just a luck of the draw type thing.
