Micro-managing boss keeps track of how many times my MS Teams says I’m “away”… So now this is happening

Get caffeine.exe from this link (bottom of the page). It’s just an exe file. No installation. It sits in the bottom right corner. It will press F15 every 59 seconds. F15 is not on your keyboard but is a remnant of old operating systems. It’s never used by any software either.

LPT: Working remotely but don’t want to work? Create a private Teams meeting, join the meeting and then delete it from your calendar. Your status will show as “Busy” but you can manually change it to “Available”. You’re now permanently online and your laptop won’t timeout or sleep. Have fun!

Another LPT: use caffeine, you can set for how long the computer will be active..

Shouldn’t have told me idle time was tracked through the mouse and keyboard input.

Caffeine keeps your PC from going idle by virtually pressing a button (F24 I think). It runs without elevated permissions and doesn’t need to be installed.

Its 2021, why does windows sleep/hibernate when doing a file transfer?

OP, you may have already found workarounds, but I use caffeine to keep my PC from sleeping when I’m waiting on a large file transfer.
