Honestly, the best antivirus is to only download stuff from trusted sources. Not downloading random torrents, not downloading software from these random crap sites like https://download.cnet.com/ that contain bloatware.

[fully lost] Seeking MP3s from VERY OBSCURE Norwegian Experimental Electronic group Mors Galackks (mid 2000s)

I found their music in 2006 on music.download.com, which is now download.cnet.com and doesn’t have any of the mp3s it used to. Internet archive doesn’t seem to come up with anything for this artist.

Downloading Microsoft software from download.cnet.com

I want to download Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate. Microsoft’s extended support for this software has ended and they no longer have it available on their website. However, it is available at download.cnet.com and on the page it says by Microsoft.
