Upload your entire wallet history to cointracking.info. It’s what we recommend to our clients and it’ll produce mostly accurate tax forms. If you’ve been doing any “advanced crypto shenanigans” it won’t get those right, but for basic trades and exchanges, it’ll be good.

For the past two years, I’ve been using CoinTracking (https://cointracking.info/). Of course, it has its own drawbacks and learning curve for defi, but if you have most of your transactions on the main EVM chains (Avalanche, Fantom, Arbitrum, and of course Ethereum), they’ve gotten better at importing LPs and yield farming over the years.

I’ve been using cointracking.info for 6 years, and I feel it’s an underrated product.
It might not have a shiny UI or prominent advertising, but I’ve tried a couple of other products and none of them gave me the same level of insight and flexibility. Right now I have all of my crypto history recorded – including a lot of DEX activity – and I know I can trust them to give me accurate results each time I compute.

I’d recommend importing all transactions to cointracking.info to help keep track of your earnings. It will automatically pull the CAD values on each transaction. If complicated, hire an accountant.

I have transactions from Binance that did not seem to get pulled into my Cointracking.info account. There are some that I don’t quite know the meaning of. I’ve tried searching to see if there is a list of what they call ‘operations’, but can’t find that anywhere. Here are some of them:.

Just make sure your selection has the ability to import from all, (or at least most), of the services you use. I was using ZenLedger a few years ago, but switched to cointracking.info as it’s got a lot more capability. Except the one thing it really doesn’t hook up to, (yet), is CRO. But for that, I’ll just do that one manually with whatever forms CRO can provide or just give my accountant that info.

Record keeping for cryptocurrency transactions can be a lot of work. Each transaction must be accounted for and every disposition carry’s tax implications.
