The problem is that the way kids learn and adults learn are quite different. Kids like to watch the same cartoon over and over again even if they don’t understand it, but for adults it’s quite boring. We prefer more time efficient methods to learn like SRS. I think SRS can work for vocabulary, but you still need a way to learn grammar. I think the best option would to be read online articles. Most likely you have…

Deepl.com/translator instead of Google Translate. I don’t use it often so I can’t vouch for it too deeply, but it seems to trade a wider language selection for a bit more intelligence.
