    • Linux software list. Discussion and advice welcome!

You should rename Dolphin on the list to either Dplphin Emulator or Dolphin-emu. “Dolphin” by itself is more commonly known as KDE’s file browser app https://apps.kde.org/dolphin/ and is also a good app, highly recommending that one.

    • Is there a way to make “Open Folder”/”Show in Filemanager” to open the filepath in terminal?

How about Dolphin . You open it and get the terminal opened in the bottom by pressing F4.

    • Enough is enough. Tell me a proper way to do it.

Staying with the dolphin example, you go to the website and see the address on the right under “Get Involved”.

    • Metroid Prime custom texture folder for Dolphin/PrimeHack?

Folders beginning with a dot will be hidden so you’ll have to enable hidden files from the menu if you’re using Dolphin the file manager. Not to be confused with Dolphin the emulator.

    • The potential of a steam deck as a linux desktop

SteamOS will most likely come with Dolphin ( https://apps.kde.org/dolphin/ ). It’s for sure more advanced than the ChromeOS File Explorer.

    • Any word on a file explorer in SteamOS?

You can drop to a KDE Plasma desktop which uses Dolphin (not that one) as a file manager by default. It allows access to Samba/Windows network file shares, USB drives etc.

    • Most polished GUI applications

Okay..I guess I better stop with kde applications, I use many of them excessively because the majority of them is really good and feature-full. But for a really good non-kde application: lazarus. Really too bad that I don’t do delphi/Turbo Pascal development for at least 25 years anymore….because the IDE they did there is top notch! (Well, probably helps that it’s a borland rip-off ;)).
