The problem is bad video quality or input lag? Did you check your ping? A good bandwidht don’t mean a good ping. Check your ping (bufferbloat) here. And instead of using a vpn, did you try changing your dns first? I recommend the cloudfire one.

Comparing performance against YouTube VODs isn’t very fair because YouTube primarily uses the VP9 codec while Xcloud uses H264. And does dslreports.com/speedtest indicate whether the problem is on download or upload? And does Zoom stutter from the hardwired PC?

If you are technically inclined and have the time, OpenWRT is a great option. For Cake SQM, you will have to configure which Cake algorithm to use, the download and upload speeds, and the type of ISP (cable, DSL, fiber, etc.). You need to set the download and upload speeds to roughly 5-10% less than the ISP provisioned speeds, and then test to see which works best on dslreports.com/speedtest.

Out of curiosity, can you find a time when neither you nor anyone else is using the network (make sure nothing’s doing any background downloads or anything), and then run http://dslreports.com/speedtest and check your bufferbloat grade. Go to dslreports.com/speedtest , make sure hi-res buffer bloat is enabled in the settings and run a test. If you get 3 A’s or A+’s then your end is good, if not then try another wifi channel and/or enable QoS on your router if it has it and limit your up/down speed to 90% of whatever your speed test results are to keep bufferbloat in check.
