Do you have any idea it’s possible to configure adguard DNS provider directly in Razer Sila router ? I can only select predefined providers like:

– dyn.com

– noip.com

– dynu.com

– mydns.jp

– domains.google.com.

I use dynu.com as an outbound SMTP relay – it’s $9.99/year/domain and I haven’t had any IP range blocking issues like I had when I was using comcast’s outbound servers.

I had 4 domains on GAFYD for >10 years. I nuked one ancient inactive business domain, moved one (low volume) domain to iCloud+, moved one other to mail hosting on dynu.com (that was already the ddns provider), and have another I hope to keep on Google Workspace. I’ve cut down the users to 6, moved to the free plan for now and hope they come up with something reasonable before August.

FYI: I recommend dynu.com. I did a bunch of research and tried various services. dynu.com works out great for me. They are generally not built into most router’s firmware, but it’s worth the effort to build the needed infrastructure. No-IP and all the others are fine, but I highly recommend dynu.com.

I’m currently setting up my OrangePi with Armbian Focal for a vpn server (using piVpn). I’m having issues using ddclient for my dynamic dns, I tried with freedns.afraid.org and dynu.com to no luck. I keep getting this error: cannot connect to freedns.afraid.org:443 socket: Name or service not known IO::Socket::IP configuration failed.

How does the DDNS work with Synology? I have it set up and updating to dynu.com just fine but how does it detect that it needs to update the IP address on dynu.com? Does it do this on some frequency? If so, I didn’t see any settings for that.

I have a domain that is registered with dynu.com and has DDNS services for a number of subdomains. My router forwards all requests to Nginx Proxy Manager, which directs traffic to the right port on the right machine. Everything was working fine until last night.
