Thanks man, I gotta blend/blur out those far away flowers. It kinda looks like those flowers are an optical illusion! I use firealpaca, it’s a free app https://firealpaca.com/ (used Krita previously but I didn’t like it). I draw on a $40 huion tablet that’s about the size of a sheet of paper.

Hey guys! So I’ve been receiving some comments about the spritepacks and stuff- I’m actually afraid of sharing them since it could be seen as stealing and changing someone’s job. I’m not great at coding- like at all. I’ve tried python once and.. I’m really bad at it. But I could actually show you how I recolor all those ribbons, dresses, even hair.. Mostly anything!
I use FireAlpaca – a free painting software.

For anyone wanting to try digital art for cheap, I’ve been using the free program Firealpaca for over a year and love it. Better than photoshop for my purposes by far, lightweight enough to run smoothly but has a ton of great features. I also got a little Huion tablet for around $30 that works wonderfully. Tablets are so much better than they used to be, at half the price!

I may not have any suggestions on how to get better, but I will say FireAlpaca is a pretty user friendly drawing app with neato brushes and feathers.

If you’re looking for something free to use for digital art, my daughter uses FireAlpaca and does some pretty cool stuff with it. It’s got basically all the stuff you need to create or do pretty standard editing stuff.

If you’re on a computer, you can use MS paint, JS paint, paint.net, GIMP, krita, medibang, or firealpaca.

Sounds like a fantastic idea! I’ve known people with the same laptop as yours and they are incredible tools for art. I recommend art software like firealpaca or maybe gimp if you want something free to draw with, but you might be best asking her for advice.

Krita and FireAlpaca are two great ones that are free and open-source. Personally I preferred Krita for its better animation support, but firealpaca was cool too!

I use https://firealpaca.com/ for all my art and editing but you can also use https://www.gimp.org/, both of which are open source programs.

Hey if you making a map you can google images of old borders cus a lot of this looks like you tried to get old European borders but crudely drew them. I also recommend using software’s like Firealpaca (heres the link to download. https://firealpaca.com) Other than that I suggest if your borders look very odd try implementing some lore or before making the map make a timeline for events happening so that you don’t…

There’s also free variants out there, one I often hear is FireAlpaca. From what I’ve seen it will also get the job done.
If you’re on an Ipad, maybe look into Procreate.

FAQ:
* What art program do you use?
I use FireAlpaca, it’s free and you can get it here – but software can only get you so far, I think if you practice enough with any program you can get good :).

If you already have GIMP’s input device settings (tablet name in listing drop > drop down menu set to “screen”) saved and have already tried disabling Windows Ink, then have you tested it in a secondary program such as FireAlpaca https://firealpaca.com/ or Krita to be certain it is program or hardware specific?

FireAlpaca, ever since I used it I never looked back.

You should use FireAlpaca, it’s free and gets the stuff you need done. I use it for drawing and making sprites (for fnf mods) and it works good. You may/will have to learn how to use this application, but it’s pretty easy if you follow youtube tutorials.
