Let’s make one now. There is a decent selection of these type of animated images on Giphy in the sticker section. I will search for the term “wave”.

‘Giphy’ is still in operation, which was (AFAIK) the site that Reddit used.

I can’t help you with costs but I read that MP4s are much smaller than GIFs so you could consider converting any format to MP4 before it’s hosted. There’s a Linux version of FFMPEG that could be hosted online that could do the conversion. Also, certain sites like Reddit only accept GIF’s created on giphy.com, if there’s a way around this, I’d love to know.

Anyone know how to get a gif to show up here? I made one, then uploaded it to giphy.com but I’m not seeing it. I though tit would automatically show up here once in giphy, but I suppose not.

Someone in ad world showed me giphy.com – it was super helpful when I was editing rips. You could type in like, “Eating a banana” and it shows you some dude on Parks And Rec eating a banana in a weird way, then you can go search out the actual video clip with a little investigating.

I followed the instructions here for embedding a .gif into the About section of my patreon page. However, after adding the embed URL, I just get a broken page icon with no gif being displayed. Does the gif need to be approved before it can be embedded or something? I see lots of people embedding gifs on their pages, from websites like giphy, discord, etc. But for whatever reason it’s just not working for me.

You definitely upload it under the image tab, maybe the gif file is too big? Not quite sure if there’s a limit. I’ve uploaded several from https://giphy.com and had no problem so far!

My favorites are the stickers sections in tenor.com and giphy.com. For Icons I use flaticon.com. They also have cute stickers but they aren’t animated.
