I have reason to suspect that a bunch of my data using a “gmx.com” email is bots- how can I make a filter variable to filter out any email that ends in gmx.com?

First I tried with gmail but they have removed the allow less secure apps thing and in order to use the smtp you have to turn on 2fa and use their api which I’m not gonna do. So I tried using different mail providers like mail.com gmx.com inbox.lv fastmail.com But every time I try to send a mail I connect to the server but get authentication failed exception. What could be the problem?

If you just want to use it for sending notifications from your server, create an account with a provider that allows password login. I use gmx.com for that. They allow password login and have IMAP/SMTP access for free.

Because it could be setting a bad example, if it gets lots of people hacked. People see gmx.com after Satoshi’s name, so they assume it’s safe to use.

I suspect it’s a shame he used gmx.com. I think gmx/mail.com have been hacking their own users, but that might only have started way after 2009. Don’t do what Satoshi did!

So I know to send books to your kindle you need to go into your Amazon account under devices and Kindle and add your email to the “Safe Senders” list. Even then, Amazon will ask you to approve the send via email (annoying). I made a gmx.com email account (free) to use for sending books via email. Then you add that email account as a safe sender in the Amazon settings. PM me for details if needed (I don’t know…

If your account is in German on the GMX site gmx.net, I would run the German version of TB and see if the folder names are consistent. If the account was set up on gmx.com, webmail should be consistent with English TB.

In my personal email I get bombarded with emails from gmx.com every day. While I have filters in place and never see them I decided to take a look at the headers anyway. Now I am not an expert on DKIM and DMARC but I understand them in a general sense. With that said:.

OP fixed the links. They via gmx.com which is apparently a thing in germany and the company or email owner created them, I am not sure why OP and/or Germany dude would share them.

They listed the Red Sox City Connect hoodies as available for $69 each. I was going to order two. When I clicked on the PayPal checkout, it opened the PayPal payment process with a random @ gmx.com email address as the payee. It also had $99 as the price, not $139.

On that I have mailbox.org, mailfence.com, gmx.com and an ancient yandex.com address. FairEmail handles them all. GMail stuff as well if anybody still has to hold onto one for a little while longer. I like the ones I have. What little is left of GMail is forwarded to one of those addresses to catch anything that I missed and is still attached to an old email account. I figure another 6 months and I’ll delete those…

I’ve been using gmx.com as my mail address for automated scripts. This is because it’s easy to sign up for addresses and they don’t ask too many questions. I use these for sending myself alerts on things like servers rebooting and websites being unreachable. I like doing it this way since I can put my email credentials into a config file and not expose the email credentials that I actually use for my important…
