I am gathering a list of “best movies” from each year to watch. I’m looking for examples of cultural significance, popularity at release, and of course, enjoyability! What are some of your suggestions?

I found this website called icheckmovies.com. This site has a bunch of both official and unofficial “Best Of” lists (Academy Award, IMDB, 1001 Movies to See Before You Die, Sight and Sound polls, etc etc etc). Greatest ‘Greatest Movies Of All Time’ List

I’m a frequent user of icheckmovies.com and they have virtually all legitimate movie lists out there. Makes it super easy to keep track of progress. I’ve seen the full AFI Top 100 but there are certainly better lists out there.
