Please turn off the router for 10 minutes and hopefully you will get a new IP that is not being used. It is also very important that you check your IP before you do it by visiting this site https://ip2location.com/ and then compare both IPs after rebooting your router to make sure you have in fact a new IP was assigned to you.

It’s possible your ISP assigned a used IP address to you due to the limited amount of available IPv4 addresses. This can cause Honeygain’s Network Overused error if multiple users with the same IP are using it. To solve this, turn off your router for 10 minutes to get a new IP address. Check your IP before and after rebooting using a site like https://ip2location.com/ to confirm you have a new IP.

Sadly Honeygain is no longer working. I have checked my IP with ip2location.com and it has the usage type (DCH) Data Center/Web Hosting/Transit.

Only solution is to contact the ISP and request they update the location with ip2location.com (the provided Honeygain uses to try and validate what kind of IP address you have).

Your IP type is DCH(Datacenter) which is unusable for honeygain. It must be a residential one in order to work. You can check it here https://ip2location.com . Click “try demo” and scroll down until you find “Usage type”.

Please check out on https://ip2location.com click “try demo” and then scroll down until you find “Usage Type”. If it shows DCH or data center then it unfortunately won’t work as honeygain uses multiple databases to determine if your ip is indeed residential or not. What you can do if you have a dynamic ip is restart your router which should hopefully assign you a new ip. If it does not then your only option would…

Hey,
It is possible that you were assigned a used/in-use IP address by your ISP. As there is a limited amount of IPv4 addresses throughout the world and the amount of free (not used) IPv4 addresses is running out, some ISPs are assigning the same IP address’+ ‘to multiple users and this may be the case with your account. If the same IP address is assigned to multiple people and those people are using Honeygain as…

Try this : Restart your router, and wait for 5 minutes before turning it ON again. Before turning it off, go to ip2location.com and check your IP Address. After turning it on, check if you have gotten a new IP Address. Sometimes one IP Address is assigned to multiple users by ISPs. Also, join the Discord Server to get quick resolutions and updates in the future.
