Which email client do you prefer and why?

Mailspring. Open-source and fully local, but an optional account and optional subscription for premium cloud-based features. Thunderbird was too cluttered and Geary, although I really wanted to like it, was just too minimal.

Future non-Gnome Pop_OS and core apps

I know for me there is one though it is not specifically “core” but kind of is in a way when you are using a desktop…namely email of all things. Gnome comes with the abomination that is Geary and that thing is way too under powered. Good email client

After trying several free email clients, I ended with Mailspring and have absolutely zero complaints. Free, modern UI, lightweight and customizable. I haven’t tried creating templates, however. Hope this helps.
