The UI is a decade old. That’s not an exaggeration. The Narwhal website showcases the app using an iPhone 5S – so you can see how the UI has remained unchanged for an entire decade! That’s why it feels outdated by modern standards.

On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill many useful third party apps on Reddit, from Apollo to Reddit is Fun to Narwhal to BaconReader.

I like using narwhal for reddit on iOS, they even have their own subreddit r/getnarwhal, and Friendly Social Browser for Android, I also use it for Facebook since it uses less storage than the official Facebook app.
