Do you have to download the vpn while abroad or is there sketchy vpns you can get through chinese internet? I feel like nordvpn.com would be a site you would block if you were trying to keep people from accessing outside information.

Download and use a VPN – it helps you hide in the moment. I’d be sure to get one that is based outside of the united states. I use https://nordvpn.com/ out of Panama. They don’t pay me for this.

I’m also using 7.1.3 on a Mac and NordLynx is there along with IKEv2 and OpenVPN. Did you download it from nordvpn.com or from the App Store? If it was from Nord then try downloading it again from the App Store. I don’t know about version 7 and the recent changes, but in the past only the App Store version had the Lynx option. Perhaps someone can confirm this re version 7?

I have an ASUS AC5300 router so I set up Nord in the VPN client section and it’s connected. All my client pc’s in my local network should be protected right? Because on the browsers when you go to nordvpn.com it says I’m Unprotected???

You can stop this in the future by using a trusted torrent-friendly VPN in order to hide what you’re downloading from the public and your ISP such as Mulvad, Windscribe, NordVPN and Surfshark.

You can get a public VPN service that will connect you somewhere out of Russia so you can browse etc. You can try something like nordvpn.com or google ‘public vpn’.

After some research I found out that something is categorizing https://nordvpn.com as adult/unsafe content which prevents me from updating and connecting to NordVPN. It’s either my ISP, Spectrum, or the router settings with parental control. Or both. .
