Another amazing node-based app that was deprecated is Quartz Composer on Mac. It was extended by Mike Matas when he was at Facebook: https://medium.com/the-year-of-the-looking-glass/introducing-origami-for-quartz-composer-f1173d0bd181 although this was also later deprecated in favor of Origami Studio, which retains the node-based UI: https://origami.design/.

Not entirely sure about this since I used this years back, but origami.design has good prototyping features. It does a lot more than just click to see the next page. You can add complex animations and interavtivity. Has a slight learning curve tho – https://origami.design/.

Here’s a thought. If a poet were presented with this code-poetry, would they appreciate it as much as a coder? That said, I’m a programmer who took digital media art installation courses in school and I didn’t find it to be that different from programming, just with different results/goals. https://cycling74.com/products/max isn’t a toy programming environment any more than https://www.ableton.com/en/ is a toy…
