Hi, I am trying to decide if I should keep my Setapp subscription or not but there are some apps I like and trying to decide if worth buying or finding an alternative.

In the last few years a lot of really solid ones have come on the market and if I were choosing a new one now, I might end up with a totally free one, but having used it for a while, and having it for free in my setapp subscription, I live and die by https://pasteapp.io/. It’s so well integrated into the OS and it has everything so well thought out. It’s just really hard to beat.

Currently using Paste, it’s in my setapp subscription.
I think it’a great, it has a lot of useful features, editing included.
However I’m looking for a free alternative, so I’m also giving a try to Raycast but no iOS support, and I need it.

I’m switching back to Linux from macOS and have grown very used to having a good clipboard manager (in my case, pasteapp.io). I’m looking a replacement for this under Linux (specifically something that will work and preferably fit in with GNOME).

Paste comes to mind and Yoink . Both have sort of a shelf, the former one more for text and images only the latter is capable of keeping documents there as well.

Alternatively, you could look into clipboard manager apps that allow you to copy and store multiple items and then paste multiple items at once eg Paste.

Paste: I started using this app when Apple’s universal copy-paste stopped working every now and then. Apart from that, I love being able to have a clipboard history synced between my MacBook and iPhone. ~$17/year.
