PgModeler is an open source tool that does diagramming as well as database management, including asking if you want to cascade when trying to drop tables. UI is a big quirky but once you get used to it, it’s very nice. I swear by it. https://pgmodeler.io.

Is there free and open-source database/data modeling tools available? I am looking for a tool that covers both OLTP (normalized schema) and OLAP (dimensional/STAR schema) modeling. I only found https://pgmodeler.io but it is not fully free (a little fee is required to download).

Once you compile it for the first time and start using it, you’ll keep doing it again with each new version. I haven’t found a better Postgres tool yet. [0]: https://pgmodeler.io/.
