Just a PSA for starting authors: You can use a free stock image as a book cover if you can’t afford commissioning an artist

There’s also openclipart and pixabay. Both are free to use for commercial use. Openclipart contains only SVGs, which you can download and edit to your liking. Pixabay has both SVGs, photos, and digital art.

I can think of a couple of free options, but I don’t know what your bar for quality is. Pixabay has some ok ones. You can also use Shadertoy for browser sources.

HAS ANYONE SEE GOLD JEWELRY THAT’S REALLY INTENDED AS MONEY? Like say necklace links that are easy to separate and of a fixed weight and fineness that might equate to 0.2 grammes of 22k gold. Kind of a CombiBar type necklace? I could see how such jewelry might have extra appeal due to flexibility.

I don’t know myself. I found the image on pixabay.com, where I go for royalty-free images. Posts with images garner more attention.

My pc needs help! and I’m a dummy

About a week ago I recently upgraded my hard drive to an SSD on my PC, as I was experiencing really stuttery framerates on any of the games I played, from less intensive games like Minecraft to harder games to run like Red Dead 2. Second attempt at a video, but don’t let that stop you from showing me that I’m still very much a beginner! Feedback welcome.

Sound:

I felt like it was a little weak sound design, I used sound effects from pixabay.com but felt like some of them were not of quality. Would be cool to get an actual license for sound effects. Or… Ya know… Actually carry my microphone around and use it.

I played with reverb against my dog’s panting at the end to play myself out.

Working on a horror story telling podcast, trying to find the best place to create background noises for certain parts of the stories like a creepy door, closing or tapping on the window noises anybody know an app or something that could help? If so, I can bring no sleep stories to life.
