If you need more flexibility to host various CMS, pantheon does both drupal and wordpress. platform.sh does a lot of different tech stacks but the initial setup is a little more involved.

That’s how it is shown on the symfony book with platform.sh but platform.sh is not cheap for students. I used to love heroku, but heroku will not have free tiers very soon.

Hello there, you can use this https://github.com/ehmatthes/django-simple-deploy which essentially deployment steps grouped and wrapped to be reusable and simple to use , currently support heroku and platform.sh and once your comfortable with it you can expand support to other platforms .

I’ve been with them for 11 months as a Developer Relations Engineer, after being a customer for 3 years. I left a 21-year career at a university to join their team and it was the best career decision I have ever made.

For PHP https://platform.sh has got a lot of traction, but it’s notc cheap especially for small apps. If you hadn’t wanted the Docker-based backing I would suggest trying one of the services that automates setting up your VMs at AWS, DigitalOcean, Linode etc like https://forge.laravel.com/, https://runcloud.io/, https://serverpilot.io/, https://www.cloudways.com/ etc.
