I’ve been using Puddletag[1] on Linux as an Mp3tag replacement and it works quite well. 1. https://docs.puddletag.net/.

I use Puddletag . It bills itself as similar to MP3Tag, but it definitely has a search and replace tool which can be to specific tags recursively across directories.

First, I use PuddleTag for tagging / managing my library. Out of the box it’s good, but if you set up your own patterns it can become a very fast, consistent tool that is excellent.

EasyTag, PuddleTag, and MusicBrainz Picard are all good ones… EasyTag is probably the oldest, most common, and is in most distro’s repos or thrid party add-on repose (also has a Nautilus compatible file manager extension).

There is puddletag, which is heavily inspired by Mp3tag.
