The current stable version though is v4.5.2. As long as you get the download from the official qBittorrent site (qbittorrent.org) then it should be perfectly safe. Each update’s changes can range from fixing small errors, to show stopping errors, to fixing security holes. So it’s best to stay up to date for the best performance and best support.

I don’t know the stance of the sub regarding torrenting, but as a method of file sharing it’s legal both in the US, the EU and many other countries. What you download with it may not be, but that’s your responsability and decision as an adult, im pointing to no specific material. You are also free to support Sunrise as much as you want/can. Got it from the qbittorrent website, the website wanted me to download it from Fosshub. I did, and then checked the checksum of it and compared it to the one on fosshub, to the one on qbittorrent.org and to the checksum text file I got with. Its all valid. Its just not running, I have problems using pidgin problems downloading stuff from github.

After doing some research it seems that qbittorrent is the safest out there that doesn’t have any malicious codes or miners installed. I haven’t been torrenting on my windows pc for a while now since windows defender detects them as malicious. It does the same with qbittorrent, but I just want to confirm that its safe? Use Torrents. I recommend qbittorrent.org and a always on VPN client. Here is a video on how to create a torrent in qBittorrent. Upload the torrent file to a file share site like mediafire, Mega, 4shared, etc and then you can share the link to the torrent. Interested in the collection you have and can help if needed so it can be shared.
