As for a digital journal on your computer, take a look at RedNotebook. I liked it when I used it, before going back to physical journaling.

I was using Microsoft Excel and Rednotebook. I still use Rednotebook as log for research info but no longer use Excel which Excel was being used for viewing my P/L on my trades.

What helped me to develop gratitude towards life in spite of everything happening was to start a journal. Get a diary where each day has a separate page. I like to do this in paper, but there are apps or a desktop version of a journal: https://rednotebook.sourceforge.io/.

I’ve been using Red Notebook for years to keep long notes, etc. It’s super handy. It is still being maintained. https://rednotebook.sourceforge.io/.

But if you’re looking for an app with a similar look and feel, I agree with u/Aaaaaidan that Rednotebook is very similar to minidiary (however encrypted notes would have to be protected by an external application).

If you’re looking for that, there’s red notebook (https://rednotebook.sourceforge.io/) and it works great.
I’ve used it a bit though my preference is more into note taking without date entries with the zim note taking tool. (if interested, it’s homepage is located at https://zim-wiki.org/).
