I googled about it, so im here to ask. Aren’t there any APP that does P2P file sharing anymore? I found a website called sharedrop.io and it seems to work, but Im looking for alternatives.

I’ve only added one extra blocklist into the blocker. I have added one application bypass: I’ve installed Samsung Internet and placed it in the app bypass list and ONLY access sharedrop.io with it. Sharedrop is a great quick and dirty (and local network only) transfer program that doesn’t work while under the blocker, so I made a desktop and bookmark link that only goes to that page. Snapdrop.net (although it’s usually down. 🙁 )
Sharedrop.io (same thing, but newer and up.)
BOTH of these transfer files locally, NOT going thru a 3rd system (such as gmail does).

For file transfer you don’t really need an app at all, you can use https://sharedrop.io By default it will transfer over the local network and it is cross platform including iOS. If you are transferring Android to Android nearby share is still faster though. There is another similar service called snapdrop but that one doesn’t have the option to transfer over the internet via QR code, plus from testing recently,…

I’ve looked… But its seems there isn’t an application based solution without requiring app indicator support which is something that eOS doesn’t officially have. If you’re comfortable modding eOS to have app indicator support you can then use LanDrop or use KDE Connect with an app indicator. You can also use sharedrop.io or snapdrop.net.

Snapdrop and Sharedrop can be used to transfer files between devices on the same local network as long as both devices have an internet browser installed. Connects to other devices on the same local network via WebRTC p2p. Does require an internet connection to discover other local devices though.

I guess I could use sharedrop.io for certain files, but it doesn’t give detailed transfer stats. And you’re limited by filesize for long testing or to weed out intermittent bandwidth/latency issues.

Alternatively there’s also sharedrop.io which is a free P2P web app for transferring files between devices, just open the web page on your Deck and PC and drag and drop the files.

Regarding airdrop alternatives: There’s sharedrop.io and snapdrop.net that’s basically like airdrop. I think sharedrop.io works better for me and there’s an option to sync via qr code.
