Gotta jump in with my recommendation for Shattered Pixel Dungeon. It’s available in a bunch of places: Steam, GOG, itch (free there!), GitHub (for the DIY type), as well as Android and iOS.

I recently got a new phone and it’s much bigger than I’m used to. My favorite mobile game, Shattered Pixel Dungeon was mostly playable one handed but there are a few buttons on the far right side of the screen which are uncomfortable to reach over to.

Pixel Dungeon. This is a Roguelike for iOS, Android and computers (definitely PC, but not sure about Mac and Linux). I suggest Shattered Pixel Dungeons, but there are a few other offshoots of the game to try as well. Pick your favorite.

Ah. I intend to look around this thread/post, for arcadey rogue games (downwell and Dead Cells are good in this respect), buuut if I can express my love for Shattered Pixel Dungeon. Not only do I consider it the greatest mobile game of all time, I consider it one of the greatest games ever made. I am fully aware how ridiculous this statement is and that it is a mod of Pixel Dungeon.

Playing games is part of who we are as humans. Ditto for making games. From Nine Men Morris to Shattered Pixel Dungeon, Mindustry, and Warsow, people have been making and playing games for free. We don’t need a games industry in order to have games.
