You can use either an USB HDMI capture device (I have this one and it works great with my Duet) or try something like SpaceDesk, that will depend on how good is your network connection on both ends.

Lenovo has announced its Yoga Tab 13 that comes with mini-HDMI and thus can function as a second monitor for a computer. What are the other tablets on the market right now that do this? I’m aware of software solutions like Spacedesk and alternatives, but a wired connection that just works seamlessly feels very appealing.

This is probably too late, but you can get software (like https://spacedesk.net/) that let’s you use a phone or tablet as a PC monitor. So it might be possible to set that up, then unplug the monitor and configure the Rift.

Give Spacedesk a try, works surprisingly well on my Duet. Also, I’d love it if Across was cheaper, and with my BT adapter if disconnects frequently, but it’s also pretty great for this setup, trial limitations aren’t too hard to ignore.

Https://spacedesk.net/ has some software that will do it, PC only. It seemed really resource intensive/not efficient and my fans were spinning full throttle whenever I used it, so I had to get rid of it. I think I discovered the software from this guy’s channel, he uses a Mac and has lots of extensive teleprompter videos: https://www.youtube.com/c/brightonwestvideo/videos.

SpaceDesk is free on Windows. Run it on your PC, then your iPad opens https://viewer.spacedesk.net in Safari in full-screen mode to connect to your PC, to use it as a second monitor. It uses wi-fi so it’s slower than a direct cable, but it works.

SpaceDesk – APK for Phone – this is probably the best free alternative app to use for your Android Devices the only Cons for this is of some lag that you will feel using wireless second screen but still very usable. The Pros of this are that you can use multiple android devices to be your second screen.
