Browser-Based
SpeedOf.Me is a browser-based speed test tool, which means you don’t need to download any additional software to use it.
HTML5 Technology
It utilizes HTML5 technology instead of Flash or Java, offering compatibility with a wide range of devices and providing more accurate results.
Real-Time Graphs
The tool provides real-time graphs during the test, allowing you to see how your bandwidth performs over the duration of the test.
No Buffering
The test mimics real-world browsing and downloading conditions, resulting in a more accurate representation of your true internet speed without excessive buffering.
Mobile Friendly
SpeedOf.Me is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, making it convenient to use regardless of the device you have.
This is a really good idea. For years I’ve wanted to know: – Which AirBNB hosts actually have a good “dedicated workspace”. Criteria: at least a 30″ deep desk, and a comfortable adjustable height office chair. – Which AirBNB rental units actually have fast internet. Ideal in a perfect world: Let me ping their router, or somehow get the airbnb host to visit https://speedof.me or a similar site, then upload the…

After factory reset…
When selecting Offline setup, it is possible to log in to the UDM. From there, when setting up the internet connection, filling up the PPPoE data, device manages to get IP and connects to the internet but:
– UDM-SE -> network -> dashboard -> speed test fails
– https://speedof.me/ – won’t load
– https://account.ui.com/ – won’t load
– https://www.youtube.com/ – works
– google…

What one do you suggest? Most of the popular ones have paid routes/results from isp’s.
Speedof.me was supposed to be totally independent.

Both real world (I was trying to use steam to update things) and on the 19th when I think this glitch first started I was downloading a ubuntu image from their official download link (so I assume it should be able to stream a pretty solid bitrate.
Basically steam (which should be able to cap my connection no problem), random website traffic, speedof.me and the waveform buffer bloat tests all showed me hard pegged…

Second, speedof.me is not a recommended site to test your subscribed speed. Better use speedtest dot net or fast dot com. And make sure to select nearest PLDT or SMART is selected pag sa speedtest.

Well there are two things when it comes to bandwidth — what you’re showing on a speed test like speedof.me.

Once the throttling kicked in the total download bandwidth on my Starlink connection was limited to 50 mb/s. If I ran a speed test (using https://www.speedtest.net/ or https://speedof.me/ for example) with the download still running, the speed tests would run extremely slowly.

Possibly also speedof.me, and the dslreports.com speed test. I think most of them will let you save results, as well.

I just ran speed tests off https://speedof.me/ , https://speed.measurementlab.net/#/ and https://testmy.net/results. Im getting WAY different results for upload vs speedtest.net. Like 6mbs to 21mbs fluctuations. Think I can contact them and complain? I’ve been just taking a break recently from streaming .

I just did a speed test from https://speedof.me/ and I’m getting completely different results than speedtest.net. 14mbs upload vs 40mbs upload so I’m thinking these twitch servers are located on the hub where I’m getting terrible upload speeds.

Speed Tests on speedof.me are really inaccurate it seems.

I’ve got fiber thru Comcast (home, not business) and isn’t as slow as it used to be. According to speedof.me I’ve got 180 Mbps down and 119 Mbps up, with a latency of 14 ms. We currently have two people WFH full-time as well as one other person who is either gaming or streaming something most of the day.

I’m currently on the Legacy plan. Long time member. !st phone ZTE R2 which I only used to tether or Hotspot for Home use on PC or Laptop. After changing APN setting on a Verizon Jetpack I then only used this device. Visible sent an email after monthly payment identifying the Jetpack I was using and thanked me for using Visible. My data speed is unthrottled. Since the new plan my download speed and upload has…

Try speedof.me or the Ookla speed test. Those should get the 5Mbps hotspot throttle.

The best way for sure to know how your Internet speeds are performing is to plug your computer directly into the “LAN” port (i.e. Using an Ethernet cable) on the Spectrum modem/router, and then use a site such as https://speedof.me to test the download/upload speeds.

Ookla from my phone/computer showing the degradation in upload and also the integrated unifi speedtest app. Also tested speedof.me and also showing 70-50mbps upload when UDM-P is handling connection.

Do a few tests via speedtest.net or speedof.me and if you see a latency of above 100ms consistently then its probably an issue with your internet, i.e your router, connection to the exchange or your ISP having a bad day.

Wirelessly? Or wired? Because I don’t trust any speed test that’s not run direct wired to a PC through a third party speed test like speedof.me or testmy.net never use ookla or the “google” test or whatever the ISP recommends, way too easy for them to inflate the numbers seen, but that’s my tinfoil hat soapbox.

Although like I said in an earlier post the cable going to the “ext” or bridged router in mesh point mode from the main router was still testing via speedof.me and ookla to be in line with my provider speeds, so no signs of link degradation.

I just hooked it up and tested it. I got between 2.5-40Mbps over about six test runs using the speedof.me test on a Wifi connected computer. And about the same on the phone itself using the Speedtest.net app.
