Could someone explain what I’m looking at? I think this is from `https://statcounter.com/` (?), but that site doesn’t load for me at the moment, and there’s no readme or description on that (1 star) repo, or its associated account. That partial data is very likely to regress to the mean over the rest of the month- though it’s good to see high linux usage (on whatever metric this is tracking).

If what you want to see is “visitors” to different pages and not specific IP addresses and you are wary of jumping into Google Analytics, I was just recommended the free version of Statcounter.

Linux and Firefox have the same order of magnitude in term of market share (according to statcounter.com). And both of them is over represented in the community imo. Arch will have much less market share, and be much more over represented imo.

You can try using https://analytics.google.com/ , or https://statcounter.com/ . Google Analytics is free and StatCounter has a free option that is limited but it is easier to understand.

First reason: Linux on the desktop’s usage is still pretty low. It’s only 2,38% for May 2021 according to statcounter.com. Don’t quote me on the exact numbers because they differ per website but I think we can all agree it’s a small amount. This means that Linux…
