On my Pixel 7 Pro I had to stop using it. It lags so bad when scrolling heavy pages. Guess it’s just not optimized for it yet, but when scrolling e.g apple.com / theverge.com it’s 5fps for me. Tried enabling/disabling uBlock etc, nothing helps.

I’m a big fan of firefox, but after getting my Pixel 7 Pro it’s really bad. When going to image-heavy pages like theverge.com or apple.com the scrolling is like 5 fps. Guess it’s something with Firefox not being optimized for Android 13 or the new Pixels? Anyone else experiencing this?

I think this may be because of the website’s font choice. theverge.com also used to use a font that was unreadable on lower resolution screens, but their current font is decent.

EDIT: Apparently I didn’t take into account the fact that Windows and macOS’ text rendering systems are different, so I guess that may explain why a 1080p display is enough for my Windows PC (unless I am visiting theverge.com, since they are using a font that seems to be “designed to look bad on 1080p displays”).

The issue we do have is when publisher greed takes over and starts driving everything they do. For example, look at theverge.com with and without adblocking. How many different types of ads are pushed to the user in a single session? Publisher logic always ends up with them asking “If I make X amount of money with one ad, why not run 10 ads?”.
