Zbrush is the gold standard and it’s not cheap. It has recently switched to subscription only. Zbrush also offers a stripped down free version for beginners and dabblers called Zbrush Core Mini. Zbrush can easily handle sculpting and prepping models to be sent to the printer’s slicing software.

If you can use Houdini, or Zbrush( or Blender) to use the weird dentist tool thingy mechanic to sculpt? Cut the form into the floor, thereby creating bricks. Its like reverse Tetris where you’re the delivery service preparing all the forms. Textures should automatically snap with the grid, and if I remember correctly you can use the F7 in Blender to fix mesh f*ck-ups and weird glossy reflection shenanigans.

Use a ZBrush type program, bridge it into something like photoshop, slap a bunch of maps and additional details on it, and bridge it into the game.. Shapes and maps, that’s all it is. Not that difficult to do.

Zbrush for the Sculpt and Blenders Cycles for the rendering. I probably could have used Blender for everything but I’m significantly faster and more comfortable in Zbrush.
